Through outreach and professional development activities, research, partnerships, thought leadership and online initiatives, we work with industry and academia to educate on the value of diversity for innovation, to inspire women to thrive and to celebrate the contributions of women in science and engineering.
About Us
 

To female students and professors, School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science: You are invited to a meet-and-greet social gathering with light refreshments and espresso coffee will be provided. The event will take place next Friday, Nov 29th, from 11am to 12:30pm in SITE 5-084.

The idea behind the event is to give a chance to the female undergraduate and graduate students and female professors to meet and socialize in a relaxed and informal setting. In addition, we will have two short talks as follows: 11:05 - 11:20am: Christine Fulford, Director of BackEnd Technologies at Kinaxis 11:20 - 11:35am: Sherry Wang and Najah El-Gharib, graduate students at EECS Christine will tells us about what Kinaxis is doing to increase representation and hiring of women in computing at Kinaxis. Sherry and Najah will tells us about two women-in-computing events that they they attended: Grace Hopper Celebration Conf and CAN-CWIC conference, as well as, how female students can get involved.
