WISE Ottawa Online Event - Diversity and Inclusion for Women in Science and Engineering – Helping Ourselves and Helping Each Other

April 30, 2020, 6:30-8:30 pm, Online via Zoom

For WISE this is an exciting time - awareness about the importance of diversity and inclusion in the workforce is on the rise. Government, organizations and the media are rolling up their sleeves to tackle the issues, however, it is going to take time before we get to the point when we no longer have to have these discussions.  In the meantime, as public institutions and the private sector catch up, WISE need to know what we can do for ourselves and for others to live the lives we want, doing the work we want to do.

Join us for intimate discussions with three professional women who in their own, unique ways, work, live and play in the shifting arena of diversity and inclusion and who have a wealth of STEM, entrepreneurial, regulatory and personal experience for us to learn from.

This is a free event. All you need to do is RSVP to Ariadni Athanassiadis at ariadni@kymalaw.com or at https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/diversity-and-inclusion-for-wise-helping-ourselves-and-helping-each-other-tickets-99639141354. A link to the online session will be sent to registered participants.

Through outreach and professional development activities, research, partnerships, thought leadership and online initiatives, we work with industry and academia to educate on the value of diversity for innovation, to inspire women to thrive and to celebrate the contributions of women in science and engineering.
