Women Making the Future at uOttawa Engineering

The recruitment of young women in engineering and computer science is a high priority for the Faculty. In concert with International Women’s day on March 8th, uOttawa Engineering & Computer Sience highlighted the importance and the impact of women's work in the Faculty: https://engineering.uottawa.ca/news/women-making-future-uottawa-engineering

On Tuesday March 3rd a group photo of female faculty members was taken to showcase their work as role models for future students. March 3rd was also the launch date of the 2nd season of the Make the Future podcast and the first five episodes, co-hosted by Thusha Agampodi of Magnet Forensics and by the Dean, are entirely devoted to equity, diversity and inclusivity challenges in the technology industry and in STEM fields.

Through outreach and professional development activities, research, partnerships, thought leadership and online initiatives, we work with industry and academia to educate on the value of diversity for innovation, to inspire women to thrive and to celebrate the contributions of women in science and engineering.
