Leadership skills can be developed at a young age and set the course for a successful career, especially in science and engineering. The Leadership Development in Science and Engineering course is meant to offer a structure to leadership development for the Faculty of Engineering students and to increase the skills and awareness of Faculty of Engineering graduates as they transition to the world of work. With a focus on diversity in STEM fields, topics such as non-traditional forms of leadership and the challenges of leading as a minority member in a rigid traditional environment.
