Electrical Engineering

Electrical engineers have the power! This discipline deals with applications of electricity including power transmission (how does electricity reach where you are right now from power generation sites far away?), control systems (think of your home thermostat or car cruise control), telecommunications (can you hear me now?), and all sorts of electronics. Electrical engineers often working in interdisciplinary teams with computer engineers. GPS, the design of household appliances, and instrumentation like that of an airplane cockpit are all applications of electrical engineering.
