Rathi is the President of Validationtech and North American Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology. Validationtech provides validation service for Pharmaceutical, Bio-Tech, Medical Device companies. The North American Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology provides post graduate career training for those who want to target pharmaceutical, health care, engineering and related sectors.
What made you want to pursue a career in engineering?
There are lots of scopes for validation engineers/scientists in pharmaceutical industry.
What’s your favourite part of your job?
Interacting with all level of employees/clients. I also enjoy technically challenging projects. I have passion for sharing my knowledge and skills for beginners within the industry.
What advice do you have for young women who hope to pursue a career in your field?
Look for specific skills in target fields. Try to net work with technical experts.
How would you describe the relationship with your mentor/mentee?
Always have open talks. I think it’s important for a mentor to give advice on skills, knowledge, the hidden job market and to connect the mentee with industry.
