Saturday October 01
October 1, 2022 On Saturday, October 1, 2022 across the province, more than 1,000 girls and their parents will attend Go ENG Girl/GÉNiales, les filles - a free one day event to learn about programs of study and careers in engineering. With hands-on workshops that have participants designing, creating, and sharing, the event teaches girls that engineering can be a lot more fun and involve more imagination than they might think at first.
At previous Go ENG Girl/GÉNiales, les filles events, girls have designed everything from earthquake-proof structures to toothpaste and “green-powered cars”, while their parents connect with engineering students and professionals in an informative panel discussion. October 21-22, 2011 This year, the Ontario Celebration of Women in Computing (ONCWIC) will take place on October 21/22, 2011 at the University of Toronto. The conference is being organized by the Women in Computing Science Group at the University of Toronto.
