At Aerospace BizDev we help companies achieve game-changing growth that takes their business to the next level. We are passionate about the contribution of business and innovation to international security, and we contribute to the Canadian Aerospace industry through participation in national and local associations focused on industry growth.
The favourite part of my job is working with my clients to solve critical challenges and align all elements of a complex situation into a winning solution. The big payoff is experiencing the joy in seeing my clients pleased with their success and knowing that I have helped them achieve it.
I enjoy all projects that combine business innovation with interesting aerospace technology. When bidding on the Canadian Forces’ Aircraft Simulator Maintenance project, I travelled to six Canadian Forces bases and met the people behind the technology and the operations. We hired six technical experts who helped us win the bid, and one of them became my husband. How great is that!
The organizations that I work with are passionate about growth. As our industry grows, it offers interesting career opportunities to our young people. It also contributes to the economy; helping us all live better lives. The defence work that I do has the added benefit of improving international security – making our world a better place for everyone.
I would like to see more togetherness and inclusiveness; we are all “people” regardless of race, sex, heritage and religion. In my work I pay attention to capabilities and merit instead of attributes that lead to generalizations.
The best advice I’ve been given is to go for it: to show up and do my best to add value, without becoming attached to the outcome. If I am successful, then that’s great. If I am not successful, then there’s always a lesson learned.
